Position Overview:
The Chalfont PA location is currently seeking a Production Support Supervisor.  The Production Support Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Production Support staff.
Responsibilities:
• Assign and follow-up on all task assignments for Scheduled work, breakdowns, and emergency repairs.
• Direct resources, assigning the right personnel to the right task.
• Perform administrative functions as needed:
• Time edits/Payroll
• Utilize Request system to requisition parts and services as needed.
• Attendance tracking
• Employee development
• Follow-up on passdown items as needed to get problems resolved.
• Maintain contact with other Shift Supervisors to head off problems/conflicts early.
• Interact with Production Planner to share pertinent information and/or Scheduling Department communications.
• Spot check work performance to ensure expected quality and quantity of work has been performed.
• Ensure maintenance documentation is entered in MC (SO, PM, etc.).  Review completed service orders and address issues (i.e. incomplete assignments, SO not closed, etc.).
• Ensure shop cleanliness is maintained.
• Attend production and CI meetings to update internal customers on work completed by the department and work in progress.
• Participate in long range projects with assistance from the Engineering Department.
• Facilitate monthly (or quarterly) shift/safety meetings and insure that direct-reports are current with mandatory safety training and CBTs specific to their job description and monthly Think-Safe subjects.
• Monitor and control overtime to that amount necessary to support production.
• Utilize in-house resources to reduce vendor repair costs.
Scheduling
• Schedule Service Orders (SO), Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures, and personnel as necessary to support production requirements with support of Production Support Planner.
Personnel
• Ensure that shift personnel reviews are written and submitted and that reviews are held on time.
• Enforce company and department policies and procedures per CBA.
• Identify training needs for all shift personnel.
• Conduct interviews with perspective Department Employees.
• Ensure all PS personnel follow proper safety rules and regulations.
• Provide support for emergencies i.e. fire alarm, code red, weather emergency.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Production support department and 2 years supervisory experience or equivalent.
