Quad has created a new recruitment and training hub in the existing Century City Office Tower (27th and Capitol location) (opening Fall 2022). This new location (Quad MKE) will provide Quad with the opportunity to get to know the community, recruit, interview, onboard, and train individuals for numerous careers in manufacturing and production support positions across Quad’s WI platform as well as Quad’s production apprentice program and a new administrative training program. Quad will also provide free transportation to and from select Wisconsin facilities.

Our goal is to create long-term success and growth for everyone while in turn helping us accelerate our ESG / DEI commitment to improve representation across the organization through our recruiting and retention strategies.

The Site Director position is the face forward for Quad to the central city Milwaukee community, Quad’s employees, and clients. The Site Director is responsible for managing all site activities at Quad’s new Century City Office Tower location. These activities will include developing and participating in community meetings and events, generating sponsorship ideas for Quad, and managing on-site activities including leading our workforce development training and employee support programs.

The Site Director will be deeply engaged in community efforts and will develop deep, lasting connections with many community groups. Quad’s vision for this new location is to work together with Milwaukee neighborhoods that are under-resourced to help create a better way. The Site Director will be pivotal in both creating and sustaining this vision.

The Site Director will work closely with Quad manufacturing and HR leadership to ensure smooth and effective operations, including training efforts. They will also support the expansion of manufacturing and creation of administrative training programs, putting them at the vanguard of developing the next step in Quad’s career programs. They will be supported locally in these efforts by the Quad MKE Logistics Coordinator, who will report to them. The Logistics Coordinator will assist them in managing transportation logistics, daily site operations in Quad’s MKE location and the execution of community events. The successful operation of the business and training programs is vital to creating the long-term sustainable success of Quad’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

The Site Director will be an ambassador for Quad, with responsibilities for delivering the company’s vision within the local community. As Quad’s ambassador they will need to identify and coordinate key community partnerships to ensure stable and sustainable long-term community relationships. This will be accomplished by engaging with community partners, employment candidates, and Quad leaders to enhance Quad’s reputation in the Milwaukee market.

Internally the Site Director will communicate Quad MKE’s value proposition to key stakeholders within Quad, thereby creating engagement with current employees. They will need to work closely with both company executives, production, and administrative staff to drive the impact of Quad MKE. This impact will be felt through the key pillars of talent development, recruitment and retention, and community and business impact. The successful execution of programs that deliver on those key pillars will be vital to the success of the Site Director's role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Knowledge of the unique characteristics of the lived experience of someone in central city Milwaukee, working with central city Milwaukee communities on successful events, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, troubleshoot problems. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of the manufacturing experience and process.

  • Proven managerial experience preferred.
  • Forward-thinking, detailed-oriented, and personable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Use of Microsoft Office suite applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and SharePoint) with the ability to pick up new programs quickly.

Manufacturing and Distribution

  • Familiarity with large scale manufacturing equipment and technical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing procedures, supply chain standards, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and productivity.
