The National Account Executive is responsible for being a strategic seller. This position will focus on multi-level relationships with complex customers including: networking with customers, building strong relationships, obtaining information from various parties to understand internal activities and find selling opportunities.

  • Identify and execute revenue enhancing strategic partnerships
  • Prospect and cold call on complex, large customers with multiple business units to develop new customer relationships
  • Utilize strong pipeline process to facilitate conversion of new customers
  • To continually grow number of active customer accounts
  • Manage, renew and up-sell existing clients to utilize QE entire portfolio
  • Actively pursue additional business opportunities, including additional divisions, within current complex customers
  • Collaborate with QE team to develop expertise and new customers
  • Communicate with potential clients with various methods including, face to face meetings, phone, email and cold calls.  All customer interactions to be recorded in CRM
  • Prepare client presentations, contract negotiations and other client documentation
  • Work with QE team to respond to a customer’s Request for Proposal ensuring response is timely, accurate and provides a high degree of detail 
  • Manage time effectively to support both business development and maintaining and growing current relationships
  • Responsible to achieve budgeted growth and profit margins as outlined in annual sales goals
  • Effectively communicate in a professional manner with all internal and external departments to provide customer solutions
  • 3+ years outside business to business sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous logistics/transportation sales experience required
  • Strong customer relationship in the market place preferred
  • Must have a proven sales track record in business development
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and maintain solid working relationships with clients and staff
