Quad is currently seeking a Second Shift Large Format Sheetfed 2nd Press Operator to work in our Quad Instore facility at Glendale Drive in New Berlin, WI.  

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist First Press Operator with all procedures in operation of KBA 6 color UB large format press.
  • Prepare press and necessary material and supplies for next job on press.
  • Maintain proper levels of ink, water, coatings, substrates and other required supplies on the press.
  • Assist with register control, verification of content and perform rule up of sheet.
  • Use vision in order to identify defects and maintain quality throughout the run.
  • Perform regular maintenance and up keep of the press.
  • Maintain the press in a safe and sound condition.  Follow all safety protocol.
  • Read and understand job tickets. Maintain accurate and timely production records.  (i.e. job data collection, material use, etc.)

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years Offset Press Operator experience.
  • Working in a P-O-P production environment a plus.
  • A working familiarity with running paper, card stock, plastics and other unusual substrates.
  • In depth knowledge of Conventional and UV printing.
  • Able to set, operate and troubleshoot the feeder section of the press.
  • Must have some understanding of color theory. Ability to pass a color test is required.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable and able to work overtime as required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and basic computer skills.
