The Health Promotion Specialist will assist in the day to day operations and tasks related to client health and wellness programming. This role is responsible for working closely with the Account Managers, clients, and other team members to develop the onsite strategy and deliver on that strategy based on QuadMed’s business model. This role will also work closely with other Wellness colleagues and the client's Plan Administration team to engage plan participants and their families for the purpose of inspiring sustained program engagement and the associated behavior change.
In additional to the core job duties the Health Promotion Specialist may work with other onsite colleagues to host health educational training and learning activities, support benefit and health fairs, and support and promote personal health risk telephonic coaching, online coaching, and biometric screening events. This role is collaborative and will work cross functionally with Marketing, Management, Operations, Business Technology, and HR teams to deliver a successful client and patient experience.
Creates and delivers client wellness programing; makes changes or additions to the program to reflect the changing needs of the client and their employee and dependent population
Acts as a wellness account consultant lead providing strategic direction based on best practices
Provides client reporting requests (aggregate, monthly incentive reports, and daily uploads)
Responsible for online wellness portal oversight (creation of new client portals, client implementation meetings, and ongoing operations)
Assists Account Managers with wellness updates, reporting, and programming at client meetings upon request
Provides assistance with the hiring and training of wellness coaches when needed
Responsible for supporting and assisting with the wellness internship program, biometric screening staffing, and small group coaching development needs in collaboration with other members of the wellness team
Partners with corporate wellness team to communicate and all onsite program offerings (external and internal customers)
Trains providers and health and wellness center staff on wellness offerings and the policies and procedures regarding wellness programming (wellness portal, wellness coaching)
Assists the QuadMed Sales Team in presentations and execution of wellness program offerings
Understands internal and external resources that are available and utilizes appropriately
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Bachelors Degree in health related field required
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in wellness programming and design required
One-on-one coaching/education experience a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Ability to present sales presentations
- Ability to present and lead client meetings
- Requires effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer data entry and Microsoft Office
- Project Management / Organization Skills required
- Strong program planning and marketing skills
- Ability to engage and motivate groups and individuals
- Ability to influence worksite culture of well-being
- Ability to manage multi-site wellness campaign.
