The OTR Driver Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of over-the-road drivers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.  This role involves monitoring driver performance, and providing support to drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.  The OTR Driver Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Supervise and lead a team of OTR drivers, providing guidance and support as needed. 

• Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and company policies
• Communicate regularly with drivers to provide updates, instructions, and support.
• Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during deliveries that need to be elevated from a dispatcher.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, including DOT regulations
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drivers
• Facilitate ongoing training and development for drivers to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with drivers, dispatchers, safety and other stakeholders
• Ensure consistent application and compliance with DOT regulations, including maintaining driver’s hours

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 5 or more years in a transportation with 3 or more years leading drivers

Education: High School Diploma
