BlueSoHo, a division of Quad/Graphics, is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to sit onsite with one of our clients, Vallarta Supermarket, in Sylmar, CA. The Traffic Coordinator works hand-in-hand with the Vallarta Grocery Buying Team, Category Manager, Advertising Department and the Creative Services vendor to coordinate advertising materials, manage production schedules, track and route content, all to meet varying deadlines of concurrent running projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Create or assist in the creation of multiple project plans and schedules
  • Be proactive in meeting all deadlines, ensuring pages are sent for proof out, released and approved on time
  • Coordinate with all Creative team members and effectively communicate schedule expectation
  • Collaborate with Client to ensure deadlines are met and all issues are effectively resolved
  • Delegate tasks as necessary to ensure team members are working on the most important pages/projects at all times
  • Take appropriate action if a deadline is not being met
  • Drive results to ensure deadlines are hit by client and vendor teams
  • Record all proofs received and sent
  • Coordinate any deliveries between on-site and off-site Creative teams
  • Quality control process owner
  • Process advertising sales plan to templated brand standards and layout guidelines 
  • Attend Client advertising meetings and work with category managers to convey production requirements to creative services
  • Work efficiently through high volumes while meeting tight deadlines
  • Degree in design, communications or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in traffic/production management, 1-year experience in advertising production preferred
  • Solid understanding of creative development processes for print channels
  • Experience with project management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven strength in problem-solving
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills to drive results in diverse client and vendor teams
  • Knowledge of creating and working with advertising templates and style sheets; including page and layout formatting
  • Proficiency in all Mac-based, industry-standard software programs including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of all steps required for the print process and an understanding of production methods to ensure designs can be produced for print delivery
