Client Account Director

The Client Account Director leads existing client offerings as the primary client relationship manager including a strategic and day-to-day responsibility for driving the contribution and growth of revenue by managing the overall relationship of their assigned client base.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop omni-channel strategies that align with their business goals.

Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing and communication strategies tailored to each client’s industry and objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance and insights to clients, offering innovative solutions to enhance their brand presence and market positioning leveraging Quad’s analytic & data driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategies are effectively executed and align with client expectations.
  • Understand Quad’s superpowers and how they translate to client success and evangelize those results across their (and our) organization.
  • Comprehension of Quad’s Marketing Technology capabilities and how to apply them to clients’ needs.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns, projects, and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project implementation, including creative, production, and digital teams.
  • Monitor project performance, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively propose solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Be the internal bridge between Sales, Delivery, Tech, Analytics, and Channels.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage and track client budgets, ensuring that projects are executed within the allocated budget limits.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to clients, demonstrating transparency and accountability.
  • Understand the top-line, margin, and bottom-line implications associated with the business they lead
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding the scope of services to drive revenue growth.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients, leveraging strong relationships and understanding of their needs.
  • Organically locate ways in which Quad can support a client’s business goals and shape the processes in which we aid the client across both their org and our own
  • Participate in new business pitches and presentations, showcasing the agency’s capabilities and expertise to potential clients.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for client projects and campaigns, regularly measuring and reporting on their success.
  • Analyze campaign results, extract actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Create mechanisms for Quad to frequently share results and insights to show the value of our relationship

Industry Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to offer informed recommendations to clients.
  • Add to their ongoing repertoire of marketing knowledge by employing obsessive curiosity about how they can grow and how that can benefit their clients
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and workshops to network and deepen understanding of relevant markets.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10 years in client delivery
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of various direct marketing channels, including direct mail, email, social, and digital advertising
  • Experience managing marketing campaigns in regulated industries (ie., utilities, telco, insurance)
  • Ability to inform, educate and influence clients
  • Experience developing and managing to budgets
  • Exceptional negotiation skills required
  • Requires market knowledge to assess organic growth opportunities and when to change current client strategies
  • Knowledge of account service/client management best practices and proven ability to communicate and implement
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel
