As our primary proposal writer, you'll be at the forefront of our business acquisition efforts, partnering with our sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals that showcase our strengths and drive new business. In addition to developing and executing our win strategy, you’ll have the chance to flex your creative muscles on white papers, case studies, thought leadership articles and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to and customizing Requests for Proposal (RFPs) against the agreed upon win strategy with guidance from Sales and Operations.
- Writes, edits, organizes, produces and packages responses to Requests for Proposals in compliance with detailed requirements and timelines.
- Generates customized proposals for organic opportunities that do not follow the RFP process.
- Proofreads proposals for content, grammar, style, and formatting; utilize Associated Press Stylebook and in-house content guidelines for proposal documents.
- Explains, simplifies, and condenses information from multiple department sources to achieve a unified voice and clarity of purpose.
- Tracks RFP deadlines and ensure key approvers respond and their feedback is incorporated.
- Maintains content in RFPIO proposal management database and coordinate periodic review.
- Maintains all boilerplate materials utilized by the company.
- Reads and comprehends all RFI and RFP related correspondence.
- Contributes content for sales presentations and finalist presentations to be consistent with information provided in RFPs.
- Maintains knowledge of all QuadMed products and services.
- Partners with marketing, sales and operations to create compelling, well-researched externally facing content including biographies, white papers, case studies, thought leadership articles, client testimonials, landing page copy, newsletter and web copy.
- In collaboration with marketing provides content updates and resource materials for the company website to keep content fresh.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field required
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years in a marketing, sales, business development or communications role
- Minimum one (1) year proposal or grant writing experience
- Health care experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Expert writer, editor and content strategist
- Outstanding organizational, planning and execution skills
- Possess an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to seek and synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct form
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills
- Background in grant writing, proposal development and/or RFP preparation a plus
- Ability to work independently to produce quality work to execute and implement projects and deliverables in tight time constraints
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including diplomacy and ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership
- Expert level Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of RFPIO proposal management system a plus
- Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion
