Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative will research and acquire new leads for brand marketing products and services.  Responsible for turning leads into sales opportunities by working at both the strategic and tactical levels to champion creative ideas.  The person in this role will own communication with leads and coordinate meetings with sales counterparts.  Act as a process improvement champion by identifying issues in the conversion process and bringing new ideas to the table to improve conversion rates.  The ideal candidate has a track record of success in driving innovation and delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to newly generated leads
  • Seek out ways to utilize marketing automation to improve processes and productivity
  • Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
  • Create and maintain scalable, repeatable methods of measurement and performance tracking for campaigns
  • Develop marketing strategies to increase conversions from online sales
  • Work with various marketing tools and platforms to manage accounts
  • Provide feedback on sales, funneling, and conversions
  • Monitor key metrics and increase conversion rates for the business
  • Ensure marketing content follows conversion-related best practices

Qualifications

  • Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.  A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or strategic brand communication.  
  • 1-2 years of experience in a marketing conversion role
  • A customer-focused and goal-orientated mindset
  • Knowledge of all aspects of conversion enhancement, including copywriting, UX, and web analytics
  • Experience working with industry tools, including email, web analytics, content management system(s), and CRM 
  • Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Comfortable using data to make recommendations and drive decisions
  • Good oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple internal teams and time zones
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
