Quad is seeking to fill an Entry Level Production Operator for our Valdosta, GA CR/T location. Valdosta is a Union facility.
Job Description & Tasks:
- Employee will be required to load/unload raw materials from tanker and box trailers (must have previous forklift experience). Will be required to wear special PPE for loading/unloading certain products. Required to wear a respirator, must abide by the facilities "Clean Shave Policy".
- Conduct railroad switches to ensure railcars are positioned correctly. Will be required to train on a tugger for moving railcars in and out. Must obtain a DOT Hazardous Material Certification (training given through the company).
- Employee will work in a warehouse environment, exposed to dust and cold/hot temperatures.
- Employee will be required to do various housekeeping tasks as assigned (pressure washing, painting, etc.).
Job Qualifications & Physical Demands:
- Highly proficient in computer skills (email, Microsoft Windows, Word & Excel)
- Prior sit down forklift experience is required.
- Mechanically Inclined
- Maintain acceptable job performance & attendance
- The ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand, bend, twist, climb and turn through the course of your shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to demonstrate routine use of all required PPE
- Be able to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Candidate must be able to work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, M-F for the first 3 months of training. Hours are subject to change to working 12-hour shifts (7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am), rotating from days to nights and nights to days every 2 weeks.
