Milwaukee Magazine, one of the nation’s most respected city and regional magazines, is searching for an Marketing Associate to perform a variety of office management and workflow maintenance tasks. Duties of this position include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. This is a part-time, permanent position.

Responsible for planning and executing Milwaukee Magazine events from conception through execution in addition to performing marketing duties to build brand awareness and support revenue streams across several platforms.



  • Discuss and develop event concepts. Plan, prepare and budget for the event.
  • Align with partners and vendors to support events and develop trade agreements.
  • Perform event marketing, ticket sales and guest list management.
  • Execute the event – staffing, setup, onsite coordination, recap and analysis.


  • Fulfill sponsorship trade agreements in support of local businesses and events. Identify new media sponsorship opportunities to expose the Milwaukee Magazine brand to new and existing audiences.
  • Build brand awareness and support business initiatives of the magazine through marketing campaigns. Find new audiences to support our readership, viewership, event attendance and more.
  • Create and execute digital and social media marketing campaigns for the brand.
  • Coordinate, promote and execute annual projects such as Best of Milwaukee Readers’ Choice, Top Docs Online Directory, Parents Resource Guide and more.


Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis

Experience: 2-3 years in a similar position; demonstrated ability to plan and execute events; demonstrated ability to plan and execute successful marketing campaigns. Publishing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a very fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products familiarity with customer database management systems. General knowledge of marketing standards and the platforms used in promotional efforts including email, social media, direct mail and more. Ability to adhere to budgets, plan and analyze campaigns, produce reporting. Must display great people skills.
