Inserter Operators (Full-Time) – Overnight Shifts

Quad is seeking a Full Time Inserter Operators for our rapidly expanding our rapidly expanding Westampton, NJ East Coast Digital Print Supercenter.  These positions include the opportunity to learn the printing process from the ground up and advance in a progressive environment. In this position you will assist in the creation of various well known Magazines/Catalogs/Direct Mail pieces and other related products in either our Press, Finishing (Bindery) or Commingling departments. Full-time positions are available on the following shifts:

B shift – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday night 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M.

D shift – Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday night 7:00 P.M. - 7:00 A.M

Requirements:

• Will operate high speed mail Inserter machines.
• Responsible for set-up, production output volume and overall quality of folded material.
• Read instructions from job jacket and sets up Folder based on instructions.
• Responsible for quality of output, high productivity and output speed.
• Operates or assists on other production equipment if needed and when workload permits.
• Operate and troubleshoot finishing equipment.
• Assist in positioning and moving material for setups and printing and/or finishing operations.
• Notify proper personnel of low inventory levels.
• Assist other shop personnel with various duties or rush orders in order to meet production schedules.
• Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
• Comply with all quality, safety rules and regulations as well as Standard Operating Procedures.
• Work with Specialist on equipment troubleshooting and set up. 
• Performs other tasks and assignments as requested.

Qualifications:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand long hours and use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement.

Able to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds, standing long periods of time of up to 12 hours, perform repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere and use vision in order to identify defects with or without reasonable accommodation. 

Able to work overtime as needed based on the workload.

Basic computer skills are required.

Good verbal and written comprehension, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and work independently.

Prior manufacturing experience (such as laborer, assembly, or distribution) required, experience in Direct Mail preferred.
