QuadMed is looking for an Operations Data Analyst to join our corporate analytics team.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

This role focuses on end-to-end healthcare data processes with a data-driven approach. Responsibilities include cleansing, validating, auditing, and reconciling data from multiple sources to ensure integrity and usability. The position applies industry and business process knowledge to cross-functional projects, collaborating with data engineering and operations teams to define requirements and desired outcomes.

Key duties include performing data profiling, system testing, and validation to identify and resolve data issues, monitoring data management metrics, and overseeing data loads. This role partners with data quality teams to ensure data aligns with business goals and delivers analytical value. Additionally, the position supports the development and delivery of analytics reporting solutions and enhancements for QuadMed in collaboration with the Executive Director of Analytics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL-based platforms.
  • Performs data analysis, including cleansing, validation, auditing, and reconciliation across multiple sources to ensure analytic accuracy.
  • Identifies trends, patterns, and anomalies in healthcare metrics to support clinical, financial, and operational decision-making.
  • Ensures data integrity, accuracy, and security while adhering to HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Validates and integrates new data sources with enterprise analytic systems, from source testing through internal data mapping.
  • Leads and contributes to key reporting and analytics projects as needed.
  • Provides data-driven insights to optimize patient outcomes, resource utilization, and cost efficiency.
  • Supports leadership with ad-hoc analyses and strategic recommendations.
  • Serves as a liaison for stakeholders, managing relationships and gathering requirements to support analytics and business objectives.
  • Assists in predictive modeling and risk stratification to enhance patient engagement and population health management.
  • Optimizes BI tools and workflows to improve data accessibility and usability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis  

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Data Processing, Healthcare Informatics, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Masters’ degree preferred.

Experience:  

  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in health care data analysis, data implementation and health outcomes.
  • Experience in data measurement and reporting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data systems (EMR/EHR, claims data, HEDIS, utilization management); EPIC experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in data visualization and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and report raw data effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data compliance.
  • Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
