Role Summary
The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end management of samples, props, and merchandise within Betty Agency’s studio. This role ensures products are received, tracked, prepped, and returned accurately and on schedule, enabling efficient food, product, and packaging content production. The Merchandise Coordinator supports the creative team by keeping all merchandise and prop logistics organized and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Sample & Merchandise Management
• Gather, receive, organize, track, and maintain all product, food, merchandise, and props for studio use.
• Ensure samples are available and prepped for scheduled photography and video shoots.
• Organize and maintain inventory within storage areas, prop room, and kitchen/prep spaces.
• Facilitate and expedite the return, donation, or disposal of all merchandise and props according to studio protocols.
• Source or shop for missing products when needed.
Data & Workflow Management
• Update photography databases and trackers with product details, sample availability, and usage notes.
• Route merchandise across sets and coordinate with photographers, stylists, and producers.
• Provide merchandise status reports as required to keep production teams informed.
• Support metadata capture and asset tracking to ensure accurate cataloging.
Studio Support
• Partner with creative and production teams to anticipate merchandise needs and prepare accordingly.
• Maintain organized, labeled, and clean sample/prop areas and kitchen/prep zones.
• Assist with general studio upkeep and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in sample management, studio coordination, or retail operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with creative and operational teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; Mac literate.
• Familiarity with Photoshop and/or studio workflow systems a plus.
• Comfortable handling food products and perishable samples.
Success Metrics
• Merchandise consistently available, organized, and on set when needed.
• Accurate tracking and reporting of product status, movement, and returns.
• Minimal delays in production due to merchandise readiness.
• Well-organized, audit-ready sample and prop areas.
