Entry-Level Night Shift Industrial Electrician
ApplyThe Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems on production equipment and facility machinery. Working alongside experienced electricians, you will learn to diagnose electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic electrical knowledge, technical training, or some hands-on experience who is eager to build a career in industrial maintenance. We are willing to train candidates who have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a desire to learn.
The wage range for this position is $20.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with electrical maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems.
- Help troubleshoot electrical components, motors, sensors, relays, drives, and control systems under the guidance of experienced electricians.
- Perform preventative maintenance to help minimize equipment downtime.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Assist with installing, testing, and replacing electrical components as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and electrical safety practices.
- Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance team members, and supervisors.
- Participate in training and continuous skill development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, electrical apprenticeship, military electrical experience, or previous industrial, commercial, or residential electrical experience is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting principles.
- Ability to read or learn to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical maintenance.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- CAD experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing protection and safety shoes.
- Ensure machine guards and electrical covers remain in place.
- Practice safe lifting techniques.
- Attend required safety meetings and training.
- Understand workplace hazard communication and safely handle materials.
SCHEDULE
This position works 12-hour night shifts (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), including weekends and holidays, on a rotating schedule of 3–4 days per week (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and rotating Saturdays).
COMPENSATION
Employees can expect to earn $20.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, knowledge, skills, and market conditions. Candidates with limited experience are encouraged to apply—we provide on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth.
