Quad is seeking a second-shift Flexo Press Inspector for our Franklin, WI location. This position tends to the Flexo machine output/discharge. These manufacturing positions include the opportunity to learn the packaging process from the ground up and advance in a challenging environment. Positions will include on-the-job and/or technical classroom training. This is your opportunity to enhance your skills working with the industry’s most advanced Folding Carton Packaging equipment. Entry-level wages start at $17.50 / hour and if you work the second shift, there is a $1.50 / hour shift premium.
This plant currently operates a 10-hour shift schedule, and our shift options are below. Please note that hours are subject to change to working either 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, due to production needs.
We have the following shift options to offer:
- 5 am - 3 pm M-Thursday
- 3 pm - 1 am M-Thursday
Additionally, duties are as follows:
- Inspects and tests samples at prescribed intervals throughout the production process.
- Prepares, cartons and boxes, and labels the end product for shipment.
- Expedites the transfer to boxed products and the shipping area.
- Assists with the pre-make and cleaning of the equipment.
- Set up / make ready the Flexo press for production.
Qualifications:
- Previous Flexo experience is a plus but will train the right candidate.
- Training and familiarity to include apprenticeships such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Must be able to quickly and accurately compare letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns.
- Read, speak, and understand the English language sufficiently to interpret instructions, job orders, production sheets, and work-related documents.
- Computer proficiency sufficient to access, navigate, receive, print, save, and/or send work communications and/or documents as the job may require.
- Hand pallet jack and forklift experience preferred.
- Candidates MUST be on time and reliable. Adhering to company requirements is required.
- Must be able to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, up to 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift.
- Ability to work overtime is required.
