ApplyGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
As a Data Scientist on Quad's Insights and Analytics team, you will play an important role in driving the effectiveness of media campaigns through advanced data analysis. You will be responsible for executing modeling projects using a variety of home-grown and 3rd-party tools.This includes data cleansing, formatting, loading, execution, model evaluation, and result reviews.In collaboration with the broader team, you will help craft the insights from these models and turn those insights into recommendations for our clients.Throughout the process, we expect you to seek ways to improve the processes.
Location: Mexico City, 3 days in office; Applicants must hold Mexican citizenship
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Model Execution: Load, execute, and refine statistical and machine learning models to assess and improve media effectiveness. Develop processes and data pipelines to support media planning and optimization.
- Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of media performance data, including engagement metrics, conversion rates, and ROI. Identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform media strategy.
- Insights Generation: Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights. Prepare detailed reports and visualizations that communicate the impact and effectiveness of media strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including media planners, marketing strategists, and data engineers, to ensure alignment of data insights with overall media strategy.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay curious about the latest industry trends and advancements in data science and media analytics. Propose and implement improvements to existing models and methodologies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in data science, particularly in building and deploying predictive, explanatory, or decomposition models.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques for effective communication of insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and understandably.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good English proficiency, recognizing that your manager is bilingual and will aid where necessary.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in data science or analytics, with a focus on media effectiveness, marketing analytics, or related areas.
- Experience working in an agency or client-facing role is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow), mathematical and statistical modeling, Bayesian methods, optimization techniques, and simulation.
- Data Tools: Expertise in SQL for querying databases, and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
- Communication: Ability to convey complex data insights and technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Collaboration: Strong team player with experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Marketing Interest and Initiative: Strong interest in marketing and a proactive attitude toward learning new concepts, tools, and strategies, with the initiative to apply knowledge and contribute to business objectives.
