Manufacturing Machine Operator

Hartford, WI | $18–$23+/ hr. Based on Experience | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts

Know how to run machinery?  We can teach you print. 

Quad is hiring experienced Machine Operators who want to build their skills and move up. Print experience is not required. If you've operated equipment in packaging, food and beverage, plastics, automotive, metals, CNC, converting, corrugated, or another manufacturing environment, your experience can transfer to Quad.

We're looking for self-starters who learn quickly, troubleshoot problems, take ownership of their equipment, and want to advance.

Pay & Schedule

• $18.00 -$23.00 / hour or more, based on your experience and skills
• 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.
• Rotate between days and nights every 4 months
• Work just 3 or 4 days per week—approximately 182 scheduled workdays per year
• Overtime opportunities and applicable shift premiums
• Up to $25,000 in relocation assistance may be available for candidates with prior print experience

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate high-speed manufacturing equipment
• Monitor equipment and make adjustments for quality and productivity
• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues
• Perform make-ready, basic maintenance, and quality checks
• Learn new equipment and processes as your skills grow

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine operator or production equipment experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Motivation to learn, improve, and take on more responsibility
• Strong attention to safety and quality
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow safety procedures, job instructions, and production documentation
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and rotate between days and nights every 4 months
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10–15 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Print experience is a plus, not a requirement. Experience with Harris, Heidelberg, Goss, Manroland, or similar web offset presses is highly preferred.

Actual pay will vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other job-related factors. Total compensation may also include overtime and shift differentials.
