Shift:
- 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
- A four-day, 10-hour schedule may also be available.
- Occasional overtime based on business needs.
Experience Required: We're seeking mechanically inclined candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance, mechanical repair, automotive, machine operation, or similar technical experience. You don't need experience with our specialized equipment—we provide hands-on training to help you develop the skills needed to succeed.

Our 82,000-square-foot Spartanburg facility is a state-of-the-art packaging plant serving the healthcare, pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, and other industries. The facility features advanced sheetfed offset and narrow-web flexographic printing, die-cutting, and custom folder/gluer equipment supported by inline quality control systems.
You'll work in a bright, clean, climate-controlled facility alongside a collaborative team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
Quad is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Spartanburg manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical foundation who wants to take the next step in their maintenance career. Because much of our production equipment is highly specialized, we'll provide hands-on training while you work alongside experienced technicians to expand your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
You'll gain experience maintaining advanced packaging equipment while developing your knowledge of preventive maintenance, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical assemblies.

What You'll Do
- Perform routine mechanical maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to help minimize production downtime.
- Learn to maintain and repair specialized printing and packaging equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting as your skills develop.
- Work alongside experienced technicians to diagnose equipment problems and complete repairs.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to production and maintenance team members.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of mechanical maintenance, mechanical repair, automotive, machine operation, or similar hands-on technical experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to develop advanced maintenance skills.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to learn specialized mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, ask questions, and collaborate with experienced technicians.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to safely perform job duties, follow work instructions, and communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work around production equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and platforms to safely access equipment.
Preferred experience includes:
- Basic electrical troubleshooting, including experience using a multimeter and identifying common electrical faults.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Mechanical assemblies and industrial equipment.
- Preventive maintenance practices.
