Cuisine Coordinator

The Corporate Catering & Events Assistant supports the catering and events team in planning, setting up, and executing corporate events. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and positive attitude, and ensuring smooth event operations. The Assistant works closely with the Catering Lead and Cuisine team to learn the full scope of catering operations, from preparation to cleanup, while developing skills in organization, communication, and teamwork.
This is an ideal role for someone eager to grow in hospitality, event coordination, or culinary services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown for corporate catering and special events.
- Support catering leads and hosts with day-of-event logistics, ensuring spaces are prepared and well-presented.
- Provide outstanding customer service to employees, guests, and clients.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure accurate execution of event details.
- Learn and follow event processes, catering standards, and safety practices.
- Assist in organizing catering supplies, service-ware, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in catering prep, service, and storage areas.
- Flexibly support multiple catering locations as needed.
- Provide feedback and ideas for improving the catering and event experience.
- Perform front of house cuisine duties, including greeting employees, taking orders, and serving food.
- Operate the café point-of-sale system for cashiering, accurately keying in correct items.
- Stock café supplies, condiments, and ensuring items are well-presented and available.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment, including, counters, and service areas.
- Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Support café opening and closing procedures, including setup, restocking, and cleaning.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred (will train the right candidate)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: ServSafe Food Handler (preferred or must obtain within 90 days); Valid Driver’s License preferred

- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards in all café operations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both warm and cold environments
- Ability to bend, twist, and move quickly during setup and service
