Quad in The Rock, GA is looking for a Full-Time HVAC Technician.  This position is responsible for performing skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, boilers, HPA, LPA, and other building support equipment and energy management systems.  This is a daytime position, working M-F from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.  Wage ranges from $22.00 - $28.00 / hour. 

Job Description: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to servicing equipment and controls of refrigeration and HVAC systems, including water heating and cooling systems, air handling systems, HPA systems, LPA systems, vacuum systems, pumps, cooling towers, and chillers.  Responsibilities include refrigerant storage, handling tracking; and inspection, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, replacement, and installation of systems and equipment.  Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel, as needed. 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Completion of an HVAC Technician program at a trade school, or a recognized apprenticeship program in general HVAC technology.
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Any other certification or licensing required by state or federal guidelines.

Experience:

  • Must have experience in HVAC, HVAC building control systems, and refrigeration technology.
  • Must have computer experience and be proficient in using MS Windows.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial, residential systems, and mechanical/ electrical systems.
  • Low voltage systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Adept in blueprint reading.
  • Capable of repairing systems.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of building management systems to include: 

  • Chillers
  • Air compressors
  • Pumps
  • Vacuum systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in environments with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, high voltage, and chemicals.
  • Work or inspect in confined and/or hot spaces including, but not limited to, ceilings, equipment rooms, and roofs.
  • Lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, walk, and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Work 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. shift M-F with opportunities for overtime.
