GENERAL PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Manager, Analytics, Analytic Liaison connects the data analytics team with business stakeholders to support CRM strategies, test plans, and business roadmaps using performance metrics and internal data. Responsibilities include collaborating across departments, providing subject matter expertise on Quad’s data stack and analytic services, overseeing data projects, and ensuring client needs are met with actionable insights. This role also emphasizes high analytic standards, continuous improvement, strong client relationships, and mentoring team members.
Location: Chicago or Sussex, 4 days in office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management:
- Foster strong client partnerships focused on business growth and shared objectives.
- Serve as the main communications point between the analytics team and other departments, ensuring clarity and timely delivery.
- Monitor client satisfaction, proactively addressing service needs and escalating issues when necessary.
Analytic Strategy & Execution:
- Gain proficiency in Quad’s data stack and analytic tools to recommend appropriate applications
- Work with senior staff to develop effective analytic proposals and practical solutions to business challenges.
- Present insights and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
Project Management:
- Direct the planning and delivery of data-related projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and business objectives.
- Create and manage estimates for analytic services (for existing clients only), draft and secure approval for statements of work, and write project specifications.
- Oversee project execution using tools such as Workfront, ensuring quality and performance standards for all analytic services.
- Maintain required project documentation for billing, and track hours worked and project profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Support professional development of analytics team members and collaborate to enhance client outcomes and service quality.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, analytics, or a related field. Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience ideally in roles that involve both technical and client-facing responsibilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and an understanding of datastrategy, campaign planning and data activation
- Successful track-record of cross-functional collaboration with teams, contributors, and stakeholders across multiple seniority levels
- Data-driven and results-oriented, with a perspective on how to measure and evaluate metrics for pre and post campaign launch, and define and measure metrics to measure the impact of marketing efforts
- Ability to rapidly prioritize and react to changing business needs and external market dynamic
- Experience planning, executing, and overseeing data-driven projects with a focus on aligning deliverables to timelines, budgets, and client objectives.
- Ability to clearly present insights and recommendations to both internal teams and external clients.
- Strategic thinker with a strong eye for detail
- Ability to translate complex topics into easily understandable verbal and written communications, including translating business objectives and opportunity identification
- A unique blend of business and technical savvy with an ability to effectively influence a desired outcome, and the wherewithal to make that vision a reality
- Ability to handle multiple prospects/clients/opportunities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, determined, and adaptable, with a sense of ownership to resolve challenges that arise
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically, only as needed
Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $78,450-$100,000, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
