Quad is 55 years old in 2026. I don't believe a company lasts that long because of one product, service or moment in time. It lasts because people keep building it.

That is something I learned from my father, Harry, who co-founded Quad in 1971. He believed a company is made up of people, not buildings or equipment. That belief has stayed with us.

Quad began as a printer. Today, we are a marketing experience company with a much broader set of capabilities. We've changed as our clients, industry and technology have changed. And we'll keep changing because the world won't stand still.

One of the most meaningful parts of our history is a 1975 letter my father placed in a time capsule addressed “To the Future.” When we opened it years later, the message was simple: if the letter was found by Quad employees, the company was still here and still carrying forward the spirit it began with.
