Our 250,000 sq. ft. facility in Franklin, WI is a state-of-the-art packaging plant that serves a diverse range of clients, including local breweries, grocery stores, yogurt producers, automotive part suppliers, and well-known battery brands. We offer Sheetfed offset, and narrow-web flexo, along with die cutting and custom folding/gluing, all supported by advanced inline quality control systems.
Quad is seeking a Second Shift Shipping & Receiving Technician at our Franklin, WI location. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 2 pm- 10 pm. The wage range for this position is between $18 - $22 / hour or more, based on relevant work experience and stable work history.
Essential Functions of this position include:
- Shipping & Receiving -- Physically receive materials into facilities, reconcile item numbers and quantities to purchase orders, and update the inventory system with items, quantities, and locations. Unload finished goods from intercompany shipments and put them into the correct locations. Pull orders for finished goods, stage them for shipment, and load trucks.
- Load & Unload Trucks -- Transport finished goods to the warehouse and put them in racks per the inventory system.
- Palletize -- All finished goods
- Housekeeping and Maintenance - keep shipping and receiving areas clear of debris, organized, and in line with safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse facility.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, and other powered industrial trucks.
- Basic computer skills.
- The ability to perform basic math calculations.
- The ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written comprehension.
- Successful candidates must be able to perform the following: lift 50 pounds continuously, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The ability to work overtime is required. Shift schedules may vary depending on workload.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.
- 2-3 years of Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience in material handling, forklift operation, and inventory control.
- Ability to drive and operate manufacturing equipment (e.g,. powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Detail-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in English.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities promptly.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations within the organization is preferred.
- Ability to lift 10-20 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds at times.

The actual rate of pay offered will vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime and shift differentials.
