Traffic Manager
ApplyGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Traffic Manager works hand-in-hand with key Account, Planning, Media and Creative stakeholders to coordinate talent and resources, manage production and trafficking schedules, track and route materials, all to meet varying deadlines of concurrent running projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish best practices to develop and scale capability within the agency.
- Create and/or assist in the development of creative trafficking instructions; ensure accuracy and timely approvals across multiple project plans and schedules simultaneously.
- Execute the trafficking of all required creative assets (broadcast, out-of-home, print and digital), ensuring creative assets are received, approved and released on time.
- Be proactive in meeting all media vendor and client deadlines. Take proactive and appropriate action if a deadline is not being met by internal / external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with appropriate Creative team members and effectively communicate schedule expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external media vendors / platforms to ensure any issues are timely and effectively resolved.
- Delegate tasks as necessary to ensure team members are working on the most important pages/projects at all times.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of all campaigns by routinely monitoring asset delivery; escalate potential delivery issues and provide timely solutions.
- Oversee billing and invoicing process between agency and trafficking platforms to ensure billing accuracy; confirm billing details and provide approval prior to being sent to Finance for pass-through to clients.
- Be a trusted source of data, insight and context for client campaign execution; seek opportunities to create efficiencies and automation within offering.
- Oversight and guidance of team, including any third parties or contractors utilized in support of such efforts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Degree in advertising, marketing, design, communications or related field
Experience: 5 years' experience in traffic
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Solid understanding of creative development processes for broadcast, out-of-home, print and / or digital channels
- Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem-solver with the ability to provide creative solutions that result in positive outcomes
- Experience with campaign management in a fast-paced environment with keen ability to adjust to changing priorities and balance multiple projects at once
- Efficient time management and organizational skills – ability to “work at the speed of retail” and sustain timeline management and campaign deliverables in face of last-minute changes
- Passion for a purpose-driven, team oriented, client-first, cross-functional culture
- Demonstrated ability to learn and understand each client’s business; act as an extension of the client with working knowledge of issues that could influence media decisions / deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of internal / external stakeholders
- Relentless attention to detail and process
- Ability to identify / recruit / retain talent; experience positively managing personnel issues
- Proven thought leader in operational efficiencies
- Experience with project management software and / or Google Smartsheets
- Experience with Comcast and / or Extreme Reach for broadcast trafficking
- Experience with Mediaocean required; experience with CM360, DOmedia and other media platforms / tools considered a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
