Maintenance Mechanic Trainee- Sussex, Pewaukee, and West Allis

Quad is seeking motivated individuals to join our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Apprenticeship Program. This program combines paid, hands-on training with related instruction to develop the skills needed to maintain and repair industrial manufacturing equipment.

Openings in Sussex, West Allis, and Pewaukee.

Ideal for:

  • Current Quad employees seeking career advancement
  • Students in mechanical or industrial maintenance programs

What You’ll Gain

  • Paid, on-the-job training
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing equipment, including robotics
  • In-demand maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • State of Wisconsin Certificate of Apprenticeship upon completion

Training Includes

  • Safety & Operations: OSHA standards, tools, and equipment operation
  • Mechanical Systems: Bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors
  • Hydraulics & Pneumatics: System components, troubleshooting, repair
  • Installation & Setup: Rigging, alignment, equipment start-up
  • Maintenance: Preventive and predictive diagnostics
  • Machining & Fabrication: Shop equipment, welding, and basic metalwork

Program Details

  • 8,000-hour structured apprenticeship
  • Includes paid related instruction
  • Hands-on mentoring in a manufacturing environment
