QuadMed is looking for a Growth and Business Development Lead to join our growing team. This is a remote role with some travel to Wisconsin required.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB 

The Growth and Business Development Lead supports QuadMed’s growth objectives through business development, relationship-building, sales technology and CRM optimization, seller enablement, sales operations, pipeline management, reporting, and market development. This role identifies and develops potential business opportunities through lead-generation activities, referrals, market relationships, research, and networking, while facilitating appropriate qualification, follow-up, and handoff to Sales. The role also serves as a lead operational resource for the tools, data, campaigns, workflows, and processes that enable seller effectiveness and support pipeline development. The Growth and Business Development Lead partners closely with the Vice Presidents of Growth, Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to improve sales effectiveness and support business growth. This is a lead-level individual contributor position with no direct reports. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Engage prospective customers through referrals, lead-generation activities, networking, and other appropriate opportunities to build relationships, generate interest, and facilitate appropriate follow-up or handoff to Sales.
  • Proactively identify, research, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities through targeted outreach, referrals, market relationships, events, and other lead-generation activities.
  • Qualify inbound leads by assessing organizational needs, business fit, decision-making authority, timing, and other relevant qualification criteria.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of QuadMed's services, capabilities, and value proposition to effectively represent the organization and facilitate initial connections with prospective customers and market contacts.
  • Facilitate warm introductions and appropriate handoff of referrals and potential business opportunities to Sales, ensuring relevant relationship and opportunity information is documented and communicated.
  • Achieve established goals for prospecting activity, qualified opportunities, meetings, pipeline development, and other applicable growth measures.
  • Research target accounts, industries, decision-makers, competitors, and market trends to support prospecting, targeting, account planning, market development, and Growth activities.
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize QuadMed's CRM, prospecting, growth marketing, sales-enablement, reporting, and related sales technology platforms to support seller productivity and growth objectives.
  • Maintain CRM standards and data integrity while ensuring prospect interactions, qualification information, leads, accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, and next steps are accurately and consistently documented.
  • Develop and maintain CRM reports, dashboards, pipeline summaries, and performance metrics to provide visibility into sales activity, pipeline health, opportunity progression, and business performance.
  • Partner with Growth and Marketing to operationalize campaigns and demand-generation activities, including CRM campaign setup, audience and list management, invitations, response tracking, confirmations, lead routing, follow-up coordination, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain sales and marketing enablement materials, including presentations, playbooks, market-specific resources, process documentation, training materials, and user guidance to support seller effectiveness and adoption of sales technology tools and processes.
  • Represent QuadMed at selected Wisconsin business, healthcare, community, networking, and industry events to build relationships, gather market intelligence, increase market awareness, identify potential referrals and opportunities, and facilitate appropriate connections to Sales.
  • Maintain current knowledge of QuadMed's services, target markets, competitors, industry trends, and effective prospecting and sales practices to continuously strengthen business development effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize sales processes, improve data quality and tool adoption, and leverage technology, including AI, to improve service delivery, seller effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other growth-enablement duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis

Education:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, healthcare administration, information systems, analytics, or a related field.

Experience:  

  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in business development, sales development, sales operations, growth operations, sales enablement, CRM administration, or a related field.
  • Experience using CRM and related sales technology platforms to manage prospecting activities, leads, opportunities, pipeline data, reporting, and sales workflows.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Analytics, or other business functions to support growth initiatives and process improvements.
  • Experience in healthcare, employer-sponsored healthcare, employee benefits, B2B sales, or the Wisconsin business market preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  

  • Strong business development skills with the ability to engage prospective customers through multiple communication channels.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively represent QuadMed and communicate its services and capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM processes, sales technology, pipeline management, sales operations, data quality, reporting, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify target accounts, market trends, potential business opportunities, data gaps, process issues, and operational risks.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholder requests.  
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder-management skills with the professional presence to represent QuadMed effectively with prospects, clients, brokers, consultants, business leaders, and community contacts.
  • Ability to work independently as a lead-level individual contributor, demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, accountability, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced healthcare and sales environment, including the ability to travel within Wisconsin as needed.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and a demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusion.
  • Demonstrated commitment to growing proficiency in the use of AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation across operations.  
  • Ability to translate Growth, Marketing, and business requirements into practical workflows, reports, documentation, enablement resources, and system enhancements.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and discretion in handling confidential business and customer information.

Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $75,000 - $80,000, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
