QuadMed is looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our corporate team.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Product Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end development and delivery of successful product solutions, enhancements to existing products, and strategic partnerships for QuadMed. This role supports continuous research, innovation, and investment in new and existing programs, services, and technologies. The Product Manager identifies and recommends new opportunities to achieve strategic initiatives for QuadMed and its clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes and assesses market trends, competitive landscape, industry best practices, and national developments; communicate insights and recommend solutions to remain current or ahead of the market and meet QuadMed’s objectives.
- Conducts market research and internal client needs assessments; analyze findings from surveys and focus groups to identify new opportunities.
- Supports data-driven prioritization of product development projects and strategic partnerships.
- Leads the product development process from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
- Translates organizational strategy into product strategy and roadmaps.
- Manages assigned product development projects from initial assessment through business case, planning, and implementation.
- Collaborates with Information Technology to develop requirements, conduct security assessments, map workflows, and deliver technology solutions.
- Works with Finance to establish pricing models and perform cost/benefit analyses.
- Partners with Marketing to support the creation of promotional materials and drive engagement and utilization of QuadMed’s products and services.
- Supports go-to-market strategy development in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
- Partners with Operations leadership to align strategy with service delivery and ensure a seamless client experience.
- Aligns product launches with sales, marketing, and operations efforts, ensuring tools, messaging, and pricing meet client and prospect needs.
- Manages project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and quality standards throughout product development.
- Provides input and direction for product-related training, in some cases, lead training development.
- Tracks and reports on financial and business performance metrics for new products.
- Serves as the product owner for designated QuadMed products or solutions, managing roadmaps, pricing strategy, brand positioning, and overall success.
- Monitors product performance post-launch and use insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Utilize product management tools and methodologies to effectively plan, track, and deliver product initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment and on-time execution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, marketing, product management or related field.
- MBA or master’s degree in related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of proven experience in product management or a related role, with a strong track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept to market.
- Healthcare product development experience or substantial knowledge of the healthcare industry, including familiarity with regulations, stakeholders, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated expertise in product lifecycle management, market and competitive analysis, and cross-functional leadership to deliver high-impact solutions.
Certificates, Licenses, Competencies:
- Certification in Project Management or equivalent experience demonstrating strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, manage resources, timelines, and budgets effectively.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strategic thinking and planning related to product research, development, training, and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Familiarity with primary care models in an ambulatory setting.
- Innovative approach to product development and execution.
- Excellent research, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, data interpretation, and decision-making.
- Process-oriented with a demonstrated ability to create or enhance repeatable workflows.
- Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Proficient in product development frameworks and tools, with the ability to apply structured methodologies to drive product development, facilitate collaboration, and adapt to changing priorities.
