QuadMed is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team in our Quad clinic in West Allis, WI and Lomira, WI. Join a team that is redefining health care! This specialty physician will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and educating patients within their area of expertise in a clinical setting. As a leading expert, the physician will also provide input on various aspects of patient care, including equipment and pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Health Center Manager, Operations Director, Medical Director, and Pharmacy Manager.
Schedule: 1 day/wk
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates and documents history and physical exam findings, differential diagnoses, and plan of care/evaluation in the electronic medical record.
- Prescribes appropriate medical treatments and medications, and order necessary studies, tests, and ancillary care services.
- Records history and physical findings, formulate plans and prognoses based on the patient's condition, and document them in the electronic medical record.
- Provides medical treatment for work-related illnesses and injuries, conduct injury causation analyses, and offer other occupational health-related medical services as needed.
- Provides onsite services and consultations to employers as needed.
- Communicates with employers about return-to-work status and with patients through email, video, phone, and text, in compliance with HIPAA.
- Demonstrates knowledge of various pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, including their desired effects, side effects, complications, and accurate administration.
- Work both independently and interdependently with medical staff, allowing for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Refers patients to appropriate specialists within and outside the health center in a medically appropriate and efficient manner.
- Exhibits exceptional and effective collaborative partnership and communication skills with both patients and staff.
- Participates in quality improvement, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the health center requirements for QuadMed.
- Assists the Health Center Manager and/or Operations Director in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients, QuadMed and clients.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with federal and state guidelines and regulations.
- Demonstrates professional conduct within the health center and act as a role model and professional leader for all health center employees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- MD. or D.O degree from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy and completion appropriate residency
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of Podiatry experience.
- Working with pediatric patients preferred.
- Experience with an EMR preferred.
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Active Board certification.
- Active and unrestricted applicable licensure, with current DEA registration.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including proficiency in electronic communication.
- Proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
