SDI Project Manager
ApplyGeneral Purpose of Job
The SDI Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the complete life cycle of a project including planning, design, programming, testing and implementation.This position will act as a liaison between the client/business sponsor(s), internal users and technology or product team to facilitate the successful execution of the product delivery and integration.The Project Manager plays an essential role in ensuing overall project success in accordance with the project scope, time, budget and quality criteria
Key Responsibilities
In order of importance
Work both independently and as part of larger product/technology team
Reviews and/or creates project proposals or success plans to determine major tasks, time frame, funding limitations, staffing and resource requirements
Uses technical knowledge and discretion to create a detailed project plan outlining specific tasks for each phase of the project and assign duties, and responsibilities to project team
Facilitates effort estimate discussions with programming or product team and notes pertinent details
Serves as primary contact for project team members, client team members, partners, and associated project stakeholders
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure progress is on schedule and within prescribed budget
Reviews status reports and modifies schedule or plans as required
Communicates with steering committee and/or internal team on status updates
Confers with project personnel to provide guidance and resolve problems
Consults with Product Owners, Tech Representatives, and CI on a regular basis for guidance, ideas and recommendations
Develops comprehensive, written technology project/success plans
Interacts with sales teams, management and clients to coordinate overall delivery of solutions, contract details or project workflow
Leads special projects/tasks at the request of management
Job Requirements
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
Experience: Previous project planning or coursework in Project Management preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage multiple projects
Ability to utilize technical knowledge, and project management skills to demonstrate independent judgment and decision making with both strategic and tactical issues
Strong leadership and mentoring skills including the ability to provide guidance, training and instruction to peers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical staff and end-users in an articulate and professional manner, often relaying technical information or functionality
Experience in Project Management preferred
Ability to display professional demeanor in potentially stressful situations
Proven strong presentation and training skills
Strong conflict management skills
