Role Summary
The Producer plays a central role in the daily operations of Betty Agency’s studio. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of food and product photography, video, and content shoots for packaging, e-commerce, and marketing needs. The Producer ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand—while maintaining strong communication between clients, creative teams, and vendors. This role requires deep knowledge of production processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
• Manage production budgets, schedules, and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee procurement, tracking, and return/donation of food and product samples.
• Lead casting for talent (on-figure, hand models, UGC talent) when needed for campaigns.
• Develop production books, shot lists, and call sheets to ensure clarity for all teams.
• Coordinate pre-production meetings and post-production reviews with internal and external teams.
• Supervise on-set production logistics including sample prep, set readiness, food styling coordination, and vendor support.
Post-Production Oversight
• Manage post-production workflow (retouching, color correction, file prep, metadata tagging) to meet deadlines and brand standards.
• Route creative materials for approval, ensuring timely feedback loops.
• Track usage rights, licensing agreements (music, stock footage, third-party imagery), and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to Betty’s Digital Asset Management workflows to ensure assets are properly archived and accessible.
Operational Excellence
• Maintain complete production files for historical and legal reference.
• Ensure compliance with food handling, safety, and studio standards during all production.
• Proactively identify risks or obstacles and resolve issues quickly to maintain project timelines.
• Continuously evaluate workflows and introduce process improvements to reduce costs and increase throughput.
Job Requirements
Education / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Production, Film, Photography, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience producing commercial photography and video within an agency or in-house studio environment (food/CPG experience strongly preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong knowledge of photo and video production processes: pre-production, shooting, post-production, and distribution.
• Experience working with food stylists, kitchen/prep environments, and perishable sample workflows.
• Familiarity with licensing agreements, usage rights, and talent contracts (SAG/AFTRA knowledge is a plus).
• Understanding of media distribution channels (digital, social, e-commerce, broadcast).
• Proficiency with production tools: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, project management software, Frame.io, and DAM systems.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage clients and vendors professionally.
• Ability to travel as needed for shoots or meetings.
