Job Summary
The Senior Producer is a senior-level leader responsible for overseeing high-volume, high-quality content production in Betty Agency’s studio. This role manages photo and video projects end-to-end — from intake and creative brief through production, post, and delivery. The Senior Producer ensures schedules, budgets, and client expectations are met while mentoring producers and driving operational excellence.
This position requires deep knowledge of studio production workflows, financial stewardship, and the ability to anticipate client and creative needs. The Senior Producer plays a pivotal role in building strong client relationships, optimizing studio operations, and ensuring Betty Agency delivers content at scale with consistency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Creative Engagement
• Act as a senior client-facing partner for assigned programs and deliverables.
• Ensure clear and actionable creative briefs with objectives, messaging, and executional considerations defined.
• Partner with client services, marketing, and product teams to align expectations, schedules, and deliverables.
• Oversee creative reviews and ensure client feedback is properly captured, routed, and executed.
Production Oversight
• Lead all facets of production: pre-production, shoot execution, and post-production.
• Manage and monitor operational budgets, schedules, and labor planning.
• Book and oversee crews, talent, vendors, and locations; negotiate contracts and deliverables with third-party partners.
• Supervise the development of creative treatments, storyboards, and production schedules.
• Scout and attend shoots to ensure objectives, timing, and quality standards are achieved.
• Drive efficiencies in process, finding new ways to increase output without compromising quality.
Team Leadership & Development
• Provide day-to-day direction and mentorship to producers and assistant producers.
• Delegate effectively and oversee execution of multiple concurrent projects.
• Encourage team performance, foster collaboration, and sustain a positive, solutions-focused environment.
Administrative & Operational
• Prepare production reports, status updates, and reconciliations for client and agency leadership.
• Oversee job actualization, vendor invoicing, and reconciliation for final billing.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving, including releases, contracts, and financial records.
• Maintain compliance with SAG/AFTRA talent rules and licensing agreements for imagery, music, and footage.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Media, Design, Visual Arts, Business Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experience
• 10+ years of production experience in a high-volume, commercial studio or agency environment.
• Proven experience producing food, retail, or e-commerce content at scale.
• Background managing large budgets, vendor negotiations, and multi-tiered production programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Deep understanding of photographic, video, and imaging workflows (including CGI and emerging AI-based solutions).
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, estimating, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Experience managing studio scheduling systems, product/merchandise workflows, and data/records.
• Proficiency with Mac platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, project management tools, and DAM systems.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage numerous concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
• Knowledge of SAG/AFTRA rules and licensing practices for content rights.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with a client-first mindset.
