Quad/Graphics, a global leader in the commercial printing and direct marketing industry is seeking a Maintenance Mechanicto work in our rapidly expanding East Coast Supercenter in Westampton, NJ.

In this position you will assist in the creation of various well known Direct Mail pieces and other related products.  Quad/Graphics prides itself on having a “grow from within” philosophy where employees are provided the opportunity to learn in their roles and grow within the company. 

We have a full-time position available for one of our 7am-7pm shifts. Starting wage is $24.80+ DOE

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform all necessary activities to repair and perform preventative maintenance work on the production equipment in the plant (i.e. bindery, inserters and folders).  Will work closely with machine operators and production supervisors and assist in the startup, running and troubleshooting of production machines.  

Set up machines, or assist operators in set up:  trouble shooting operator problems. 

Comply with all quality, safety rules and regulations as well as Standard Operating Procedures.

Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Requires knowledge of set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.  Ability to set up, operate, and perform adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment. Knowledge of high speed Inserters and swing arm inserters is a must.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand long hours and use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement. 

Able to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds, standing long periods of time of up to 12 hours, perform repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere and use vision in order to identify defects with or without reasonable accommodation.  

Able to work overtime as needed based on the workload. 

Good computer skills are required.

Good verbal and written comprehension, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and work independently. 

Prior knowledge of CMC 400s, CMC 250s, and mail crafter inserters is preferred.
